We can change or install new interior doors. We can even change your doors if you have those old metal door frames. We can even build custom sized or shaped door frames from scratch.

 

Here are pics from a house we changed all the interior doors from flat to 6 panel. The original doors had metal frames. Instead of ripping the old frames out and installing prehung doors and new moldings, the customer just wanted us to change the doors themselves. In the first pic, you can see how much better it looks with just one changed. Though I sometimes use a router to cut the new hinge notches, I forgot to bring it this day. With a wood chisel, and some skill, the notches are as good as if done with a router.

 

 

These pics are from a basement we finished. There was a cement block wall with plaster over it dividing the basement in half. The customer wanted a door. I thought a prehung would look bad sitting in a 10 inch wide woorway. I used flat pine to frame out the doorway. It was 1 inch wider at the top than the bottom, so the wood was cut to fit. I notched out for the hinges and striker plate, and installed doorstop molding.

 

Here is the finished frame with the door installed. Doesn't that look better than a 5-1/2" wide prehung installed in the middle of the frame?
